Be My Enemy

Argh! I barely have time to read those fantastic blogs listed at the bottom of the page, let alone write any myself these days. Yesterday we went to see Mates of State, and today I just had a haircut and am about to go see the new Scorsese flick The Departed.

I really want to post something about my beliefs in Free Will, soul and morality and junk, but there's not enough hours in the day. Meh, I'll try tomorrow.

Tunes I'm digging of late:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Y Control (STILL!!!!! THAT SONG IS AWESOME!!!!)

Switches - Lay Down the Law

Absentee - Something to Bang

The Blood Arm - Suspicious Character

Infadels - Love Like Semtex

Get listening people!!!!

3 and a half hours later...

Well that film was simply BRILLIANT.

Seriously, you have to see it. I don't want to give away the story, but it's essentially Face Off meets You've Got Mail. Though at the same time it's also Resevoir Dogs meets Good Will Hunting meets Gangs of New York meets As Good As It Gets meets Daredevil meets Catch Me If You Can meets Phonebooth meets A Few Good Men meets Arlington Road meets Mystic River meets Independance Day.

See it, mofos.

Meets Phonebooth?! I loved that movie. Now I definitely have to see it.

I've heard good things about it.

You forgot "meets ghostbusters II".

Dude, Ghostbusters II is too unique for ANY film to be like it.

Except maybe Ghostbusters.

Dinah - I can't say I liked Phonebooth. The whole time I found myself thinking "But Keifer, what right have YOU to judge anyone elses life?". If I met anyone going out with Katie Holmes AND Radha Mitchell I'd say "Ah salut, good for you".

When I said I "loved" Phonebooth I actually meant "barely remember it even though I think I watched most of it on the Movie Channel once, maybe." I think I liked the ending, though...not so much a switcheroo as a big reveal.

It certainly wasn't as good as Ghostbusters II (which by the way was the only sequel to ever win an oscar).

Yeah I'm pretty sure it did. Wasn't it for Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor for Slimer?
