Rod Hull Chili Peppers

Wicked-a, wicked-a! I've just ironed my pink shirt for work tomorrow. So why the junglist excitement, you ask? Well, tomorrow is Rod Hull Day.

Concept of top blogger iPandah, you show your appreciation for the emu-armed one by doing all things pink. Wearing pink clothes, eating pink food, and just generally Hulling it up.

My wardrobe and diet doesn't really consist of much pink, so the shirt is probably as far as it'll go. I might pop to the supermarket and do a couple of lines of strawberry Nesquik powder in the toilets if I have time.

A word of warning: as iP stated, this is a tribute to the original Rod Hull, not the fake-armed jelly-obsessed one played by Kevin Eldon on Fist of Fun:

But it's still cool, and will join the ranks of non-conventional holidays I'll be celebrating every year, like Festivus.

In other news, owing to my birthday this weekend, I have to take cakes into the office tomorrow. Injustice or what! It's my celebration, yet I have to give them stuff. Now I know how Mel Gibson's character in Bravehead felt when he had to give his bride away to be rogered by some geriatric despot; miffed.

It has its upsides though; we're going out to Leices Sq on Saturday to celebrate (anyone wanting to make an assassination attempt make note) around 8pm, and then on to Frog at Mean Fiddler to rock out. And I also got this fantastic card from Paul and Rache:

Rod Hull day... nice. I'm not too sure about the pink rule - is it OK if I just carry an emu around and spontaneously attack passersby? Oh the hilarity that will ensue!!
