Car Maintenance 101

A quiet evening down the pub tonight turned into potential disaster, as at 11.30pm the car wouldn't start! NOOOOO!!!

Luckily, being the expert engineers we were, we tried all the little tricks of the trade, including:
  • Waiting a couple of minutes
  • Turning the key really quickly
  • Switching from park to neutral
  • Turning the radio off
  • Taking the handbrake off
  • Adjusting the mirror
  • Holding my breath

And could you believe it, none of these things worked! Just when we were resigned to ditching the car and using those wiggly doo-dads comin' outta our hips (legs I think they're called) we tried the only option we had left.

That's right:

I pulled the key out of the ignition, blew on it, and put it back in. And what do you know, it only went and blommin' started!
