6:01 PM Dilemma A lovely little old lady that I know decided to make some carrot cake for me. Very nice of her in my opinion. I think she decided to make it because we have great conversations; she teaches me how to swear in Italian, and I listen to her stories about how she's going to bring down the British government. Which is kind of where the problem occurs. Despite her fiesty exterior, she's a little, shall we say, forgetful. Kinda see where I'm coming from now? How do I know the old dear didn't mistake sugar with rat poison? Syrup with strychnine? Carrots with caramel? Well the last one wouldn't be too bad, I actually like caramel. But nonetheless, these questions must be raised! Better to decline, and live with the guilt that her hard work went unrewarded? Or to eat, but then suffer muscular convulsions and asphyxiation?

I would worry mostly about the "salty" icing on top.
