5:49 PM New Forest Weekend I haven't watered my blog in a while, so I guess I should update. Last weekend we headed to casa Dyett in the green surroundings of the New Forest for his annual get together. I forgot what a great area it is, much like the Forest Moon of Endor from Star Wars except the locals are more primitive than the Ewoks. We arrived Friday afternoon and me and Col got straight to work building the barbeque. There weren't any instructions inside so we had to improvise. Maybe it's because I've been building so much Ikea furniture for the new house, but an hour after we started we ended up with something that resembled a coffee table. Luckily Stacey was on hand to point us out to where we went wrong (bottles of Stella?) and the whole thing came together like so many of Hannibal's plans. Cue more beers, burgers landing on the floor, Becky's mates plus Tom & Emma arriving, vodka jellies, poker, Nathan breaking the fence, juggling hot coals, fire breathing, G+Ts and... well... that's about it I think. Saturday mostle revolved around an epic game of rounders with Chufty "The Terminator" setting some sort of record in catching our team out (sorry Chuff, but it's true!) and yours truly whopping a few dingers. An evening in Bournemouth where I met Keith and Dr Rachel (putting my foot in it no less than twice- note to self: never mention ex-boyfriends or relatives dying) and I also saw Patsy Palmer AKA Bianca form EastEnders. All good. Poker on Sunday, pub lunch, long journey home. I'll get some pictures from Becky and put them up here. Am I forgetting anything? Leave a comment ::
