11:15 PM Ou Est... Le Sex? I got back yesterday from a weekend away in Brussels. We arrived Friday night and after travelling on the Eurostar, and were greeted with rain, rain and more rain. After taking an accidental minor detour, the locals pointed us in the right direction and we finally arrived at the Royal Embassy Hotel which really lived up to it's grand name. The view was fantastic and made up for the lack of swimming pool and Jacuzzi that was shown in the brochure. The capital of Belgium is famous for it's wide variety of restaurants, chocolate, and of course the European Union- so naturally the trip quickly descended into us taking pics of slightly rude names. We ended up going to a global franchise fast-food joint for dinner, and went discoing in an Irish pub. I was slightly disappointed in the vast degree of cultural homogenisation but those concerns were quickly washed away with some local tipple. The next morning we found out Mike had food poisoning from a certain global franchise apple pie and would be out of action for the rest of the weekend. Never ones to leave a fallen man behind, we left Mike puking his brains out and proceeded to see what Brussels had to offer after watching some TV. The flags weren't our for us unfortunately, but there were a few landmarks that we managed to visit, such as the square, the cathedral, and the Grim Reaper. Some places sounded alluring to me, but the reality was lost in translation. One wild night of Belgian hedonism later and we were ready to visit a few more sites. A 30 minute train ride to visit some giant balls and then come back did seem like a bit of an anti-climax.... Leave a comment ::

Quality trip boys, need to sort the next one sometime soon. Weekend was full of booze, women & ill-timed comments......"neil you fuckin dick!"
